This course is strictly delivered as a 10-week program (within the 8–12 week standard), with weekly learning outcomes and practical labs.
- Week 1: Python for data science, environments, notebooks, and reproducible workflows.
- Week 2: Statistics foundations—distributions, inference, and communicating uncertainty.
- Week 3: Data wrangling with pandas, cleaning, joins, and feature-friendly tables.
- Week 4: Exploratory analysis and visualization—charts that answer real questions.
- Week 5: SQL for analytics—joins, aggregations, and connecting to real datasets.
- Week 6: Supervised learning basics—classification, regression, train/validation split.
- Week 7: Model evaluation, metrics, overfitting, and responsible use of results.
- Week 8: Unsupervised methods and dimensionality reduction (intro).
- Week 9: Experimentation, storytelling, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Week 10: Capstone: end-to-end project from question to model to narrative presentation.
